Residents buy CCTV to tackle crime

Residents have bought a mobile CCTV camera to help tackle crime.

Halstead’s Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinators Steering Group bought the camera primarily with a grant given to Neighbourhood Watch groups in the area.

Group secretary Jean Hastings said: “We hope that this initiative will help the police to continue to reduce crime in the area – both in the town and the villages."
