Open day at Colchester Crematorium

COLCHESTER crematorium will hold its annual Open Day on Saturday, August 7.

Staff at the Mersea Road centre will be on hand from 10am to 3.30pm to answer any questions and allay any fears.

Martin Hunt, councillor responsible for street and waste services, said: “From our experience the Crematorium Open Day is a chance for people to gain comfort and reassurance from being shown that the process is carried out with care and dignity.

“The Crematorium’s professional and caring staff will be on hand to answer any questions, plus the opportunity is available to take a look at the beautiful, peaceful grounds.”

Make enquiries at any undertaker's and you will be told exactly what happens.

The coffins get cremated too. If you go along you'll find out. It's very educational.
