Rugby club's heroic fundraising efforts

JUNIOR superheroes took to the rugby pitch to raise money in support of Colchester’s soldiers.

Colchester Rugby Club’s mini section held a fundraising spectacular on Sunday, with some 300 children paying a donation to Help for Heroes to come to the weekly training session dressed as superheroes.

The children also walked a mile around the club’s Mill Road ground while passing a ball to raise money for Sport Relief.

So far £1,600 has been raised, with donations still coming in.

What a fantastic event. Well done to all the "Superheroes" that took part and to those who organised and helped with the event. It was a shame that JW couldn't fit into his Spiderman outfit!

What price a photograph of Eddie the Eagle in a CRFC shirt?!
