A woman has been jailed after stabbing a man at a booze and drugs-fuelled party.

Nakesh Lunnon admitted causing grievous bodily harm to Andrew Musk at an address in Alvis Avenue, Jaywick.

Mr Musk’s stab wound became infected and he spent a week in hospital.

At Chelmsford Crown Court, Judge David Turner said: “I have no doubt at all this crime requires an immediate custodial sentence, that is beyond argument.

“I hope you have learned a costly lesson from these ugly events.”

Lunnon, 25, previously of Abemarle Street, Harwich, and then boyfriend Jake Race attend the party at Mr Musk’s home, on June 18, 2016.

Judge Turner said: “You went there with others and there was a mixture of drinking, drug taking and sex, which it is now unlikely will be revealed.

“Indeed, so murky is the tale that on the second day of a trial involving you and your then boyfriend, the prosecution took the view the claimant in this case was not a totally reliable witness.”

The Crown Prosecution Service dropped charges of robbery and kidnap against Lunnon and Race.

Judge Turner added: “There is no dispute, however, there was a row about money and you became overheated, picked up a small knife and in a moment of aggression delivered a wound to Mr Musk’s arm.”

Philippa Beswick, mitigating, said Lunnon suffered from mental health and drug problems.

She said: “She has worked extremely hard in prison in regards to her drug use.

“I am asking for you to impose a sentence to help her continue her rehabilitation.”

Judge Turner sentenced Lunnon to 12 months in prison, however, she was released immediately on licence because she had been in custody since October.
