A WOMAN who threatened a family with a golf club has been handed a suspended prison sentence.

Kelly Wilson took the club to Glisson Square, Colchester, where she made threats to a family-of-three and destroyed windows and doors at their home.

Wilson, 40, of The Drive, Great Warley, admitted possession of an offensive weapon, threatening behaviour and criminal damage when she appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.

She was given a six-month jail sentence suspended for a year and must complete 20 days of rehabilitation activity.
