A RAILWAY passenger was repeatedly attacked after asking a woman to turn her music down.

The incident began at Wivenhoe railway station at 11.20pm on December 30 when he asked her to turn the music down.

She reacted violently and attacked him by beating him around the head and body.

The attack continued until a passerby stepped in.

Both the offender and victim boarded the same carriage on the train and the offender further assaulted the victim. She punched and slapped him in the head and body until a member of public intervened again.

The victim tried to get away to the next carriage but a few minutes later the offender jumped over train seats and ran through to the next carriage to assault him again while he was sitting down with his back to her.
