Drive driver who was spotted by police after stopping at McDonald's is banned for 14 months
A HUNGRY drink driver was caught by police after stopping at a popular fast food restaurant.
Jake Dollar, 19, was arrested after he was stopped by officers in Via Urbis Romanae, Colchester, on July 19.
He had been breathalysed and found to have 58mg of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35mg.
Dollar, of Rectory Road, Copford, was first spotted by officers leaving McDonald’s near Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Dollar admitted drink driving at court yesterday.
He said: “I would like to apologise. I realise it was a very stupid move - I shouldn’t have done it."
He was banned from the roads for 14 months and fined £300.
