A TEENAGE boy has been arrested in connection with six robberies and three assaults across Colchester.
Officers arrested the 15-year-old on Sunday, August 13, on suspicion of robbery, actual bodily harm and common assault.
He was released on bail to appear at a police station on Sunday, September 10.
Police received reports that three people were assaulted between 12.30am and 3am on Sunday, July 16.
In each case, a group of youths approached the victim, engaged in conversation with them and then punched them in the face.
Officers also received a report of robbery at 2.20am in Circular Road East after a man was struck from behind and had clothing and a two-figure sum of cash stolen.
Police then received five reports of knife-point robberies between 10.50pm on Friday, August 11, and 2.20am on Saturday, August 12.
The victims were threatened, punched and robbed of their possessions.
The incidents took place in Hickory Avenue, Barrack Street, Winnock Road, Hythe Station Road and close to Hythe train station, which saw victim Sean O'Neill badly beaten by a group of youths.
