A WOMAN is appealing for witnesses of a crash to come forward after she was verbally abused.

Lisa Hutcheson was driving past the roundabout near Waitrose at the top of Cowdray Avenue , Colchester, when she said the driver of a people carrier crashed into her.

Lisa had stopped at McDonald’s in Cowdray Avenue and as she exited onto the main road she was followed by a Mercedes Transporter.

She said: “It was a hire car and it was full to the brim with people.

“He clearly didn’t know where he was going and was hopping in and out of lanes and driving at speed.

“We got to St Andrew’s Avenue roundabout and he was in the left lane going towards Greenstead and I was in the right lane.

She said all of a sudden he came over into her lane and she slammed on her brakes.

She said: “He just kept going and proceeded to hit the front of my car.

“When we eventually pulled over he got out and was extremely abusive .”

Anyone who saw the crash is asked to email katherine.palmer@newsquest.co.uk.
