YOUNGSTERS can now learn about nature at school after work on their new science garden was finally completed.
Colchester MP Will Quince helped open the new feature at St Teresa's School in Lexden, along with headteacher Marie Kelly, former headteacher Frances Brooker, school governors, Friends of St Teresa's and the school's eco warriors.
Land for the garden has been loaned to the school from the nearby church and cleared up with seating installed along with mini beast habitats, bird boxes and feeders.
As well as being used for science projects, youngsters will also be able to use the garden for art, literacy, maths and RE.
Class teacher Miss Hilton said: "It is great to be able to extend the outdoor learning experience for the children on a daily basis."
