INTELLIGENCE led police to an address in Witham, where a man was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply.
A 35-year-old man was arrested at Speedwell Close today and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Officers from the Braintree and Uttlesford Community Policing Team acted on information from the public and executed a search warrant on the property.
After searching the address, police seized several substances including Class A and B drugs, money and weighing scales.
They will now be forensically examined.
Ps Tim Scott from Braintree and Uttlesford’s Community Policing Team said: "This is another excellent result and one that serves as a warning to others who deal in illegal substances.
"It will not be tolerated. Drugs misuse creates significant harm to our communities, and my team will be persistent and continue to tackle those that deal drugs into this community."
Anyone with concerns about drug dealing or suspected cannabis cultivations is asked to contact police on 101.
