Ambulance on scene after woman is hit by a car
AMBULANCE crews attended after an elderly woman was hit by a car in Colchester town centre.
The accident happened just before 11am on Friday in Saint John's Street, Colchester.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said crews were still on the scene and were treating a woman in her 70s.
She was taken to Colchester General Hospital suffering with back pain.
