ENTREPRENEURS could be given the chance to pitch for £2,000 to help their budding businesses as part of a course hosted at Essex University.

The Inspiring Enterprise course will last 12 weeks and be taught at Parkside Office Village on the Colchester campus and feature expert talks from local business leaders.

The scheme is being funded by Essex County Council’s Essex Innovation Programme and delivered by the Eastern Enterprise Hub.

CEO Digby Chacksfield said: “We’re very pleased to be working with the Essex Innovation Programme to support entrepreneurs across Essex.

“With Colchester being known as a creative and business hub of the UK, we are keen to hear from startups from various sectors such as creative, digital, healthcare and environmental.

“We would love to hear from a wide spread of people as Inspiring Enterprise 2016 will enable startups to gain the required knowledge and support they need to develop their business offerings.”

An information session will be held on November 1 between noon and 1.30pm at the university for potential students to find out more.
