COLCHESTER’S Secret Vintage Fair has a very modern venue for this weekend’s event.

Having already ‘popped-up’ at some of the town’s most iconic places such as the Colchester Arts Centre, the Belle Vue Social Club and Colchester Town Hall, this Saturday, November 28, it will be the Firstsite art gallery that will be playing host to more than 50 businesses and traders, selling anything and everything from vintage hats, clothes, accessories, records and furniture.

Now based in Peterborough as well as Britain’s oldest recorded town as well as a festive feel to this weekend’s fair there will be plenty of entertainment as well.

That includes live music from Band of Fools, Forties singing trio Fox, Wiggle and Sass, and singer Tallulah Goodtimes, plus fashion shows and retro hair demonstrations.

Entry is £3, with some of the money raised going to the Tom Bowdidge Foundation which funds research projects providing support to teenagers and their families dealing with the effects of cancer.

The fair runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm and for more information go to the event’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/SecretVintageFairEssex
