POLICE are appealing for information following a dog attack in a park in Colchester.

Officers wish to speak to two people after an incident in Lexden Park, off Church Lane, at 9.15am on Sunday.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "The male victim was jogging.

"A woman and a man were walking in the opposite direction with a black labrador on a lead.

"The woman picked up the dog.

"It reared up and bit the victim on the elbow.

"His top was torn and he suffered a minor wound.

"Officers wish to speak to the two people who were with the dog at the time."

The woman is white, aged in her late 50s, of slim build with dark shoulder length hair.

The man is white, aged in his late 50s, and of medium build.

He was walking a sandy coloured terrier.
