ALL of Colchester’s Tesco stores have escaped the cull of branches announced by the supermarket giant yesterday.
After announcing a big reduction in profits last month, Tesco yesterday named the 43 branches it wants to close nationwide, to save money.
The list includes stores in Heybridge and Chelmsford.
Plans for new stores in Butt Road, Colchester, and in Walton and Manningtree have also been scrapped as part of the same strategy.
