TWO people have been charged in connection with a hammer attack by an armed gang.
The attack in Nunn’s Road, close to Stockwell and West Stockwell Street, Colchester, left one man with a serious head injury while another suffered facial injuries.
An Essex Police spokesman said Perry Black, 20, of Market Close, Colchester, and a 16- year-old, also from Colchester, have each been charged with affray and grievous bodily harm with intent.
Black has also been charged with using violence to secure entry to a premises.
No further action is to be taken against another man and a woman who were previously arrested.
The two have been bailed to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on December 9.
