Police cordon off area near Colchester Sixth Form College
POLICE are investigating a robbery on Colchester's North Hill this morning.
The area, near Colchester Sixth Form College, was taped off while police investigated.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "Police are investigating the robbery of a man of a man found injured on North Hill around 3.40am today.
"The man, who was aged in his 30s, and from Colchester, was found with a head injury and taken to Colchester General Hospital.
"A wallet believed to have belonged to him was recovered and detectives are waiting to speak to him.
"Investigations are ongoing."
UPDATE 1PM
The police cordon has now been lifted.
The man's condition is not said to be serious.
