A YOUNG couple were left fearing for their lives when they were attacked by a man wielding a knife and a chain.

Hannah Saunders, 19, and her boyfriend Wayne had pulled up near the One Stop, in North Station Road, Colchester, when they were subjected to the terrifying ordeal.

Two men walked up to her blue Mini convertible in Causton Road at 5.30pm on Sunday.

One of the men pulled out a 9ins knife, leant in through the car window and held it against her boyfriend.

Hannah, of Mile End, Colchester, drove off – with the attackers hanging on to the car – but she ended up going down a dead end.

When she turned the car around and drove away, one of the men threw a brick through the rear passenger window.

Hannah was cut from the glass and her boyfriend injured his hand in the struggle with the knifeman.

The suspects are both white men wearing hooded tops. One was on a bike, possibly a BMX.

One of them was skinny, in his early twenties, about 6ft and had brown hair.

Anyone with information can call Colchester police on 101.
