A NEW association is set to drive Manningtree forward in a bid to improve the town’s business prospects.
The Manningtree Association for Commerce, Culture and Community has been set up by a traders and business owners in the town.
Former members of the town’s Business Chamber and representatives from commerce and culture sectors have joined to form the new body following two inaugural meetings.
The group will seek to promote England’s smallest town and also re-introduce some of the town’s best events including the Christmas lights.
Chairman Mark Morsley said: “Its ultimate aim is to add the community spirit to develop a group that has plenty to offer Manningtree and its local district."
