Review: Alice in Wonderland, Ingleborough Community Centre

11:45am Monday 18th March 2013

Another great annual pantomime was seen in Ingleton last week.

The Theatre Group put on a brilliant show of Alice in Wonderland, adapted by Sue Mosley.

It played to full houses, with people having to be turned away on Friday and Saturday nights.

All the characters, too many to name individually, were excellent. Alice played by Emily Coates was a delight, as was Elaine Ward as Queen of Hearts with her “off with their heads!” amid much booing and hissing.

Wendy Moorhouse was a hilarious Mad Hatter, Charlotte Needham gave an engaging performance as the White Rabbit and Carl Lis was his usual extremely funny performer as the Dame, Flora Dora.

The dancers and singers get better every year and the amount of work that goes on backstage only adds to the overall delight.
