In response to the naming of new roads on the Severalls Hospital site in Colchester on an Olympics theme, what a ridiculous list of names.
More importantly, Colchester Council is once again ignoring its paymasters, the voters. Please let us have the names of the councillors who ignore what we want, so they can be got rid of.
We are not all obsessed with the Olympics. Frankly, this occurs every four years.
I do wish the Olympic contestants the very best in their efforts to gain medals, but it would be better to celebrate and honour any locals who compete and win gold medals by naming one of the roads after them.
Road names tend to be forever and should have local connections, as wanted by the locals.
