Show respect for constituents, Sir Bob

So, Sir Bob Russell has done it again, responding to a constituent’s e-mail with arrogance and rudeness.

Meanwhile, this grandstanding egomaniac distances himself from any difficult decision the Conservative/Lib Dem coalition has to take, to ensure that at the next election he can claim he did not support that policy.

Don’t take your own publicity too seriously, Sir Bob, and please show a little more respect for your constituents.

...My parents always taught me manners and politeness cost nothing, and that those who resort to rudeness and insults have been dragged up and as children would have been the “schoolyard bullies”.

I agree totally with both of the above, because as normal Bob Russell (Note: Not Sir that you have to earn) leads with his ego and forgets he is here to work for the people that employ him.

Eh-mm interesting, so we have two letters condemning the actions of our MP. The first from someone who is not even represented by Sir Bob Russell. So Mr Prowse I think you should look closer to home and see what your MP Bernard Jenkin is doing for you.

Then the second from a Labour councillor, a member of the same local Labour party whose member allegedly set the honey trap for Sir Bob Russell (and not for the first time has this trick being used against SBR). Mr Naish I think you should look closer to home at the alleged childish activities stemming from your own local party before inferring Sir Bob Russell is a schoolboy bully. Kettle and pot come to mind.

And people wonder why the general population is disfranchised from local and national politics - it is because of this needless school yard namely calling and game playing. If politicians actually spent their time more productively working together 1) Colchester maybe a better place and 2) so would the country as whole.

As a Mile End (Not Myland as "Sir" Bob insists) native, who was schooled there and subsequently at St Helena and who had the foresight and good luck to leave the area before it was ruined forever, I feel I have every right to comment on a fellow alumnus!
