Armed police swooped on a car in Colchester today.
Motorists and nearby residents watched in amazement as officers stopped a car on Brook Street at about midday.
Two men were forced out of the car at gunpoint.
Police cannot yet reveal details of the incident that sparked the arrests, but confirmed it was a joint operation with the Metropolitan Police following an incident in London.
