HUNDREDS of pounds in cash was raised at a charity coffee morning.
The Colchester Officers' Club held a coffee morning at their venue in St Johns Green.
They raised a total of £340 which will be split equally between the Colchester Hospital Charity's Cancer Centre Campaign and the Cardiac Risk in the Young charity.
Sonia Lewis, one of the organisers, said: "It went really well and it was very well attended.
"We are really pleased, we had about 40 people on the day.
"It was very busy and the room was full."
There was also a tombola and a cake stall.
