A NEW company that transports cash for small businesses has been launched in Colchester.
Instead of travelling in an armoured van and wearing uniform and protective clothing, Securicash, whose location is kept secret, operate undercover.
Its staff dress in civilian clothing to prevent alerting potential thieves.
JACQUELINE Stoneman of Just Recruitment has launched a group of specialist divisions.
The company, which has offices in Braintree and Witham, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and the new divisions have seen a move into providing services nationally, as well as regionally.
Ms Stoneman was winner of the businesswoman of the year category in the Gazette's Essex Countywide Business Awards last year.
Her company's new divisions cover industries including law and technical.
BENTLEY Essex has opened a new showroom in Auto Way, off Ipswich Road, Colchester.
More than 170 guests attended a launch event for the showroom, which will accommodate up to seven cars.
The company opened a purpose-built workshop and after-sales facility in Wyncolls Road, Colchester last August.
SOLICTOR Gavin Stewart has retired from Marshall Legal in Colchester.
Mr Stewart first qualified with a City firm and was awarded the Broderip prize when he passed his finals.
He joined Colchester law firm Jones and Son in 1968 and became joint senior partner in 1987, when Jones and Son merged with Marshall Sutton, now Marshall Legal.
He is looking forward to enjoying his hobbies, sailing and flying.
Andrew Miranda, who was recently made new partner, will take over from Mr Stewart and will be supported by Laura Finnigan, who joined the firm in 2006.
MARTIN Wright, a partner with Larking Gowen chartered accountants in Colchester, has retired after more than 20 years.
Mr Wright had worked in accountancy for several years before founding Martin Wright and Co in Colchester in 1986, and merged with Larking Gowen in 1995 before moving to the firm's premises in Colchester Business Park.
Mr Wright wants to spend his retirement travelling, learning to play to guitar and hopes to become a magistrate.
