HISTORY has been made as the first funeral service has been held at Colchester Town Hall.
Respected boxing coach Peter Clarke died suddenly of a heart attack aged 59.
His family knew they would need a large venue to accommodate the hundreds of mourners who they knew would want to pay their respects to him.
And the service ended up being held in the auspicious surroundings of the 110-year-old Moot Hall.
