STUDENT volunteers joined council staff to clear up overgrown land in a Colchester estate.

The disused Colchester Borough Homes car park in Charles Pell Road, Greenstead, had fallen into disrepair and become an eyesore for nearby residents.

Essex University students teamed up with Colchester Council zone wardens and a maintenance team from Colchester Borough Homes to spruce up the area and make it useable again.
