Firefighters fight 'deliberate' blaze in Rowhedge

FIRE chiefs are treating as arson a blaze in Rowhedge this morning.

Two crews from Colchester and one from Manningtree were called to the docks, in Rowhedge shortly after 8.20am, where a large pile of rubbish was alight.

Crews from Colchester could not reach the blaze so an off road engine, from Manningtree, was called.

The fire was extinguished by 10.25am.

A spokesman said: "The fire is believed to have been started deliberately."
