ONE friendly feline has learnt to be a lot more careful after he got stuck - in a kitchen drainer.

Burmese cat Mr Bumbles was playing football with an acorn on the kitchen worktop while owner Tonya Johnston was doing the washing up when a claw on his front right paw became lodged in the sink hole.

When Mrs Johnston, of High Road in Layer de la Haye, called her local vet at about 7pm on Tuesday, a recorded message advised if it was urgent, she should call the emergency services.

“He was in a very stressed way and I knew we couldn’t leave him like that, so I had to call the fire service,” said Mrs Johnston.

I hope the owner made a suitable donation to the Fire Service for wasting their time.
How did the cat get stuck in the plug hole if the owner was doing the washing up ?
