1:00pm Saturday 13th October 2012 in News
COUNCIL tenants are reporting neighbours’ antisocial behaviour more than once a day, according to fresh statistics.

Housing bosses now want to cut the amount of resources they are forced to plunge into tackling the problem.

What is the status of these agreements? Supposedly 'voluntary' but a child of 11 says she signed because her mother told her they'd lose their home if she didn't. Evidence? None. The letter to mum said her child HAD been responsible for anti-social behaviour, not alleged mind you. Come and sign. I have seen this at closer quarters. Fair Play for Children looked at 5 cases in Tower Hamlets, report online. We did freedom of information to all police and local councils in England - report on line shows 55000 of these served, that the Home Office has never taken legal advice about their status despite promoting their use, and one council officer who used to be involved in them said it was hard to get the police to distinguish between kids playing out and ASB. It can be and is a moaner's charter, one person can get their way against a whole community, and it is a process entirely lacking in the basics of the rule of law. That's based on 10 years work: Ministers, MPs, councils, police, RSLs etc love it because it is so easy to pin on people especially kids. Never mind the knee-jerk comments, remember the basic values our society is founded upon - fairness and 'due process' being one of them.

I could sort out the problem in three months if they would give me a chance.
Unfortunately the powers-that-be always seem to give the anti-social behaviour scum-bags another chance.
Kick them out and throw them on the streets until they learn to respect other people and ultimately to learn to respect themselves.
