UPDATED: Two stabbed in Colchester knife attack
6:00pm Thursday 11th October 2012 in News
TWO men have been stabbed in a suspected gang attack in Colchester.
Detectives are investigating following the double stabbing in and around Old Heath Road, Colchester, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Officers are concerned the attacks are related to the drugs trade and may involve criminals from outside Colchester clashing with those operating within the town.
A massive police hunt for the suspects and one of the victims took place for several hours in and around Bourne Pond, Military Road and Barrack Street.
The two male victims are believed to have come from London.
One was attacked and stabbed in the leg and had defensive injuries from trying to protect himself during the assault by four men.
Officers were flagged down by one of the victims and began a search for the second amid fears for his safety.
He was found several hours later but declined any help.

Colchester seems to have gone from bad to worse since the start of 2012.
Drug dealing and anti-social behaviour appears to be on the increase in town and from my own experience it's definitely on the increase in places like Greenstead.
Speaking to people around Greenstead a lot of the old timers want to move out asap. But when you ask them where, they say that they don't know because everywhere seems to be the same these days.
Many people, myself included, are afraid to report drug dealing and anti-social to the Police and the council for fear of being targeted by the gangs and anti-social neighbours.
People feel helpless and afraid for their safety and security.

With the right support I would have these scumbags out of Colchester within a week and I would make Colchester such an unwelcoming place for scumbags they would be afraid to come here.
We need to instil the 5h1t-scared fear factor back into these scumbags and drive them into the ground.

It is not just a sign of the times but it is also a manifestation of attitudes across the board that has cultivated this type of feckless violence.
