TWO men have been stabbed in a suspected gang attack in Colchester.

Detectives are investigating following the double stabbing in and around Old Heath Road, Colchester, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Officers are concerned the attacks are related to the drugs trade and may involve criminals from outside Colchester clashing with those operating within the town.

A massive police hunt for the suspects and one of the victims took place for several hours in and around Bourne Pond, Military Road and Barrack Street.
The two male victims are believed to have come from London.

One was attacked and stabbed in the leg and had defensive injuries from trying to protect himself during the assault by four men.

Officers were flagged down by one of the victims and began a search for the second amid fears for his safety.

He was found several hours later but declined any help.
