Police are appealing for witnesses to a road crash which has left one man seriously ill.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "The collision happened in Shalford Road, Panfield, when the driver of a blue Honda Prelude appears to have lost control of the car while travelling along Shalford Road shortly after 8pm on Wednesday and struck a tree.
"The driver and three occupants were conveyed to Broomfield Hospital after sustaining a variety of injuries.
"One of the four men was later transferred to Cambridgeshire’s Addenbrookes Hospital.
"The casualities at Broomfield Hospital have either been discharged or remain there in a stable condition.
"The man at Addenbrookes Hospital remains in a stable condition.
"At this stage, police are still trying to ascertain the details of all four men.
Investigating Officer, Pc Andy Sumner, said: "As well as appealing for witnesess to the actual crash, we’re also keen to identify the driver of a Fiat Punto who was seen with or near the blue Honda when the crash happened. They are crucial, key witnesses.”
