Man charged with assault after road crash

A MAN has been charged with a number off offences following a crash in Station Road, Lawford.

A man aged 19 from Harwich suffered a leg injury when he was hit by a Skoda Octavia car in Station Road on Wednesday, August 29 at 9.30pm.

Police arrested a man aged 21 from Colchester at a house in Manningtree later.

He was today charged with assault, driving without a licence, driving without insurance and aggravated vehicle taking.

He has been bailed to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 30.

Was the victim on foot or in a car? If he was in a car it makes no reference, if he was on foot then he was a male pedestrian.
