Stranger attempts to take child

DETECTIVES are appealing for information after a man tried to convince a child to get into his car with him in West Mersea.
Just before 8.30am on Saturday the stranger accosted a ten-year-old boy in Kingsland Road.
The man is black, about 5ft 8ins tall, bald and clean shaven and is believed to be aged 35 to 40-years-old.
The boy is safe and well.
