Pre-school toasts new home

ORGANISERS have toasted their success after converting a disused pub into the new base for a pre-school.

St Osyth pre-school had been running for 30 years and was based in the village hall.

However, it was not able to hold sessions every day and could only take 26 children at one time.

Karen Smith, who manages the pre-school with Claire Cowler, said they were looking for other premises and came across the former Lakeside pub which has now been converted and renovated to provide a new home for the pre-school.

A pre-school would be an ideal use for the Drury Arms in Colchester.
