Good samaritan helps thwart Colchester robbery

POLICE are appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Magdalen Street.

Officers were called to Magdalen Street, Colchester, at 10.50pm on Thursday, September 27, after two men tried to grab a phone from a man.

A female passer-by helped wrestle it back for him.

Any witnesses and especially the good samaritan are asked to call Colchester police on 101.

More stories like this are needed, good samaritans who are not seeking publicity but quitely outsmarting the criminals.
