Reunion for electricity workers

A REUNION for former electricity workers takes place on Friday.

The Colchester and Clacton District Eastern Electricity Board Retired Employees’ Association holds its annual social event from 7.30pm.

The event is being held at Brightlingsea Sailing Club, Oyster Tank Road.

Any former and existing staff associated with depots, offices and shops in the Clacton and Colchester areas are welcome as are their widows and widowers, staff not yet retired or ex-electricity supply workers who have moved to the area.

My dad worked for Eastern Electricity for years and was based at the depot off Valley Road, Clacton. Sadly he died 10 years ago but know he would have loved to have caught up with everyone he worked with.
