Mobile health checks extended
9:00am Tuesday 2nd October 2012 in News
MOBILE health checks will be widened across north Essex after a second unit was launched.
The unit offering free NHS check-ups is being run by local community healthcare provider Anglian Community Enterprise (ACE).
ACE has pledged to deliver 9,000 health checks this financial year and has started the second mobile centre to boost checks in Essex.
Staff on the units will be targeting residents between the ages of 40 and 74 who, broadly, are not already identified by a health professional as having had a heart attack, stroke, angina or diabetes.
The mobile unit will be at the Asda, South Woodham Ferrers, this week until Sunday October 7, Tesco in Tiptree between Monday October 15-21 and Wickes, Maldon, between Monday October 29 and Sunday November 4.
People can book an appointment in advance by calling 01206 288538 though this is not essential.
