Inconsiderate parents cause Greenstead parking disruption

A MUM is considering blocking access to her residential parking area on a Colchester estate if school run parents do not park considerately.

Households in Solway Court, Greenstead, face a twice-daily struggle to access and park in their allotted area.

For around thirty minutes each morning and afternoon motorists leave their cars on kerbs and verges, blocking roads and generally in the way, residents claim.

A spokesman for Colchester Borough Homes, who owns Solway Court, said: “Colchester Borough Homes is aware of the resident parking concerns at Solway Court and is working with local schools and Colchester Council’s zone wardens to advise and re-educate parents about where there are safe and appropriate drop-off areas for them to use.”
