Man seriously injured in Walton crash

A PENSIONER was seriously injured after driving into the back of a van.
Fire crews had to cut the man, aged in his 60s, out of his Ford Grand C-Max after he collided with a white Transit box van on Kirby Road, Walton.
Police and paramedics were called just after 5.30pm yesterday.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said the man was in a lot of pain and was rushed to Colchester General Hospital as soon as he was cut free from his car about 90 minutes after the crash.
