Breakfast event to examine economic Olympic legacy

ACADEMICS will analyse the impact of the Olympics on the regional economy at a free discussion event.
Professor Eric Smith from Essex University’s economics department and Dr Tom Scotto from the government department are among the leading experts speaking at After the gold rush: the impact of the Olympics on the economy of the East of England.
The breakfast event on Wednesday (September 26) will feature keynote presentations followed by a roundtable discussion and the opportunity to put questions to the speakers and join in the debate.
The briefing takes place in lecture theatre four of the Lecture Theatre Building at the Wivenhoe campus. Registration begins at 7.30am with presentations starting at 8am.
