In today's Gazette: Two stabbed in town centre

In today's Gazette: Two men have been stabbed in Clacton town centre in front of shocked shoppers.

Ten police cars, an ambulance and police helicopter were called to Station Road after eyewitnesses saw a man covered in blood and two men running down Rosemary Road. Another man who had been stabbed ran away when police arrived.

* Two people were trapped after three cars collided in Queen Street, Colchester.

* Fireman Gary Clarke has taken a break from tackling blazes to fan the flames of love on a new TV dating show.

* A community centre which was saved from closure now faces fresh uncertainty. Colne Housing was looking at taking over Abbots Activity Centre in Colchester but said it would need a start-up grant to get the centre viable.

Now Colchester Council is offering £100,000 over three years and asking interested groups to come forward.
