In today's Gazette: Car park cruisers warned - Stay away

In today's Gazette: Supermarket giant Sainsbury's is in talks with police to stop car rallies being held in its car park.

The retailers are taking action after more than 100 souped-up cars turned up at the Stanway store - and now a second rally is planned.

* Bewhiskered Charlie Saville, of Great Tey, has won the National Beard and Moustache Championships.

* Tax-payer funded iPads could be given to Colchester councillors at a cost of £24,000. However, the move has been slammed by the opposing Tory group which says there are better things to spend money on.

* A mum whose weight plummeted to 4 st 7lbs has thanked the charity which has helped her on the road to recovery.

Karen Ward, 35, of Colchester, has severe oesophageal stricture but says the confidence and support she has received from the team at Home Start has helped to save her life.
