Fishing lake re-opened after toxic algae bloom

A FISHING lake closed due to a toxic algae bloom has now re-opened.
The Match Pit, part of the Lafarge complex in Wivenhoe, had been shut off from early August due to a blue algae bloom.
The pit, managed by the Colchester Postal & Telecom Angling Club, has now re-opened after the bloom died away.
