Cops deliver baby in Brightlingsea
A PROUD mum has thanked officers who helped her give birth to a baby on the beat in Brightlingsea.
Dad Ramon Hayward, 24, flagged down the officers, who had been dealing with a fight at a block of flats, to tell them his 20-year-old partner Chelsea Nolan was about to give birth in a communal
flat hallway, off Victoria Place.
The paramedics had not arrived yet and it was clear little baby Annie was not going to wait so offers PC David Wren, PC Kirsy Lucas and Sgt Simon Tattersall helped ensure a successful birth.
