A GREAT-GRANNY conquered her fear of heights to abseil 100ft on her 70th birthday.

Brave Laurel Tripp-Clarke, of Prettygate, scaled down the side of Colchester’s town hall on Friday.

She was cheered on by family and friends and hundreds of curious on-lookers at the High Street landmark.
