Wanted man fails to turn up for court in Colchester

ONE of Essex Police ’s most wanted men did not turn up for a court hearing.

Ben Barnham, 19, was due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court to face charge of not attending probation appoi- ntments.

He is also wanted as part of Essex Police ’s burglary crackdown called Operation Nemesis.

They released his picture on Tuesday, as part of a rogues gallery of most wanted suspects. Probation officer Linda Double yesterday requested a warrant for his arrest, after revealing Barnham, formerly of Greenstead , Colchester, had skipped four out of seven appointments.

A letter had been sent telling him of the court date, but the probation service was also not sure of his address.

Barnham is wanted on suspicion of breaching a non-molestation order on August 14 this year.
