Woman hurt as car overturns in crash

A WOMAN suffered chest injuries after her car turned over following a crash in Clacton.
She was hurt following a collision between a red Vauxhall Corsa and a white Ford Transit van at the junction of Rosemary Road and Beach Road.
Paramedics, police and fire crews were called to the scene shortly before 1pm on Wednesday.
The woman, thought to be in her 40s, was trapped in her vehicle due to her injuries.
She was given oxygen and first aid by fire crews before paramedics arrived. She was freed by 1.45pm and was taken to Colchester General Hospital for further treatment.
Rosemary Road was closed in both directions between Pier Avenue and Carnarvon Road while emergency services dealt with the incident. The road was reopened by 2.30pm.
